فَأُمُّ الاقْصَاب فَالحِرشَانُ فالنَّقَبُ

٤٥. فَالقَلعَةُ الصَّعبَةُ المَرقَى التي اقتَصَمَتْ
فِيهَا القَواضِبُ جَيشاً قَبلُ قَد ذَهَبُوا

So the inks and pens catalogued them

٤٦. هِيَ العَوَاصِمُ إلاَّ أنَّ سَالكَهَا
أقَلُّ مَا يَلتَقي مِن عُصمِهَا العَطَبُ

47. And the branding stamped all they had earned
You stripped them of the clothes of tyranny they wore

٤٧. فَدُستَهُم أيُّهَا المَولَى بِحَامِيةٍ
تَشوِي الصَّلَّى وَعَلى الأصلابِ تَنصَلبُ

48. When they took shade in a house no poles support
And they thanked you for what you granted them

٤٨. تَرى الفَوَارِسَ كَالعِقبَان إثرَهُمُ
علىالشَّنَاخيِبِ والآكَامِ تَعتَقِبُ

49. And restoring them was most precious of what they were given
And the Arab hordes entirely wilted

٤٩. وَحَاوَلُوا نَفَقاً يَغشَاهُ هَارِبُهُم
لَو كَانَ يَمنَعُهُم مِن بَطشِكَ الهَرَبُ

50. Falling before you under the night creeping away
And the hand of terror tore them apart so they dispersed

٥٠. فَحَلَّ فِيهِم سُليمَانُ وأيُّ فَتىً
حُلُولَ نَارِ الغَضَا شَبّثْ وَهُم حَطَبُ

٥١. نَجمُ الخِلافَةِ صَافي العِرضِ شِيَمتُه

٥٢. وفي الرُّصَيفي قَد خاضَتْ فَوَارِسُهُ

٥٣. وَحَازَ حَوزَتُهُم ذاتَ اليَمينِ وَقَد
نَضَا سُيُوفاً بِهَا كُلُّ الدِّمَا كَلَبُ

54. The sword erected and the hero called

٥٤. وَبَاتَ يَكبِسُهُم في الثَّالِجاتِ وفي
أنحَاءِ زَمرةَ حَيثُ القَلبُ ينشعِبُ

A care you singled out apart from kings though

٥٥. وَعَايَنُوا مِنهُ صُبحا فوق لَيلِ دُجى
وَالدُّهمُ لِلنَّصرِ مِفتَاحٌ إذا رُكِبُوا

And that is true of your dream which preceded

٥٦. وَتِلكَ عَادَتُهُ إذَا تَوَجَّهَ في
أمرٍ تَسَنَّى لَهُ مِن يُمنِهِ الطَّلَبُ

57. For your Master does not disappoint when He bestows
You live on for this kingdom supporting it

٥٧. وَأيقنُوا عِندمَا أبدَى بِرايَتِهِ
إنَّ التَّخَلُّصَ مِن أظفارِهِ عَجَبُ

58. For God you do what pleases and avoid what angers Him
You remain with this kingdom boon companions

٥٨. فَلاطَفوهُ بِأنْ يُحيي سَليبَهُمُ
إنْ كَانَ يُرضِيهِ فِي مَطلُوبِهِ السَّلَبُ

59. With your praise poetry and sermons are sweetened

٥٩. وَقاَسَمُوهُ عَلَى وَجهِ الرّضَى قِسمَاً
يَدْرِي المُوفَّقُ فِيها مَنْ له الغَلَبُ

٦٠. فَكَانَتِ الخَيلُ وَالآبَالُ حِصَّتَهُ
وَكَانَ فيمَا حَوَوْهُ السَّرْجُ والقَتَبُ

٦١. فَأصبَحَ الحِبرُ والأقلاَمُ تَرقُمُهَا
وَالوَسْمُ يُعْجِمُ منها كُلَّ ما كَسَبوا

٦٢. أعرَيْتَهمْ من ثِيابِ البَغيِ ما سَتَروا
حِينَ استَظَلُّوا بِبَيتٍ مَا لَهُ طُنُبُ

٦٣. وَأحْمَدوُكَ على ما قَد وَهَبْتَ لَهمْ
وَكَانَ إحْيَاؤهُمْ أعَزَّ مَا وُهِبُوا

٦٤. وأجفَلَتْ زُمَرُ الأعْرَابِ قَاطِبَةً
تَهوِي أمَامَكَ تَحتَ اللَّيلِ تَنسَحِبُ

٦٥. وَمَزقّتْهَا يَدُ الإرهَابِ فافتَرَقَتْ
لايَلحَقُ الَّرأسَ من أحيَائِهَا الذنَبُ

٦٦. فَلْيحذَرَنْ بَعدَها أهلُ الجِبالِ وَمَن
أبدَى التَّجَنِّي ومن في رأسهِ شَغَبُ

٦٧. وإن جَلَوا الجِهادَ الأمنُ منبسِطٌ
أو يُدْبِروا فَبِسَاطُ العَفوِ منقَلِبُ

٦٨. والرَّمحٌ مُرتَجِزٌ والطَّرفُ مُنْحَفِزٌ
وَالسَّيفُ منتَصِبٌ وَالبَطْلُ منْتَدِبُ

٦٩. همُ رأوْا كَيْفَ دسْتَ الغَورَ منْتَقِماً
وَكَيفَ تَنْصَبُ مِن أنيَابِكَ النُّوبُ

٧٠. عِنايَةٌ حزتَهَا دُونَ المْلوكِ وَقَد
أثْنَوا عَلَيْكَ وَمَا يَدرُونَ مَا السَّبَبُ

٧١. وَذاكَ صَادِقُ رؤيْاكَ التي سَلَفَتْ
فَإنَّ مَولاكَ لاَ يُكدِي إذا يَهَبُ

٧٢. لاَزِلتَ حَيَّاً لِهَذا الملكِ تَنصُرُهُ
لِلهِ تَفعَلُ مَا يُرضِي وَتَجْتنِبُ

٧٣. ولابِرحْتُم بِهَذا المُلكِ أنديِةً
تَحلو بِمدْحِكُم الأشعَارُ وَالخُطَبُ
