1. God quenched with water from this fountain, relieving
The evident illness or that in the heart's depths.

2. So you cooled by its sweetness, pray like this:
For He who cured livers like yours in the heat.

3. Many times 'Ali ibn al-Husayn gifted me such,
But this is a prize of fate,

4. Because it contained his ancestor's tomb
And his mosque, so remembrance was better aided.

5. It symbolized, at perfection, that for any good,
When people fear evil.

6. None shall then see, after this, what harms him,
For in this is collected well-being and victory.

7. Blessed is he of high station in Tunis
Who attained this bounty, none before or after this age.

8. If you ask about the hint's secret,
Its horizon is the date, the month of goodness.
