How many minds were enlightened by it.

7. So my friend, when a friend is missed,
Yearnings and sorrows have overcome me.

8. My night grew long, sleep evading me,
After the birds of love were done singing.

9. The flute of Beirut stirs and delights me,
Yet where are Beirut and Lebanon from me?
