1. I unleash my poems and pour out my odes
Revealing my passions as I await relief

2. My soul a gazelle struck by his love
Though in this love I'm not the first to delve

3. If he visits today, I forget him through chatter
If night comes, his delightful phantom arrives

4. If absent from my eyes, still in my soul his image
And in my heart, restless yearning swells

5. With him, my bitter life tastes sweet
And my love flows like radiance unfurled

6. When solace proves difficult, I speak his name
Sorrows recede and knots unfurl

7. If blamers chide what I say, O censors
The sick bear no blame for what they feel
