1. The crescent rose above its setting place
And the pink flower did not set
١. لاحَ الهِلال فويق مَغرِبه
وَالزَهرة الزَهراء لَم تَغب
2. It plunged below its setting place and fell
It cries with unshed tears
٢. تَهوي دوين مَغيبها فَهَوَت
تَبكي بِدَمع غَير مُنسَكب
3. As if it were Asma weeping
When her golden bracelet broke
٣. فَكَأَنَّها أَسماء باكية
عِندَ اِنفِصام سوارها الذَهبي
