1. And a night like the command of time confused
Until it passed and we did not feel it was short
١. وَلَيلة مثل أَمر الساعة اِشتَبَهَت
حَتّى تَقَضت وَلَم نَشعُر بِها قِصرا
2. What can an eloquent describe its speed
It passed and did not cling to a worry or danger
٢. ما يَستَطيع بَليغ وَصف سُرعتها
فاتَت وَلَم تَعتَلق وَهماً ولا خطرا
