1. I reject all your knowledge, O son of Rustum
And whatever you have memorized except the revealed Book

2. Had you been Yunus in the cycles of its grammar
Or Katrab in the obscure and complex

3. And comprehended the jurisprudence of Abu Hanifa whole
Yet affiliated with Rustum, you would not thrive
