My eyes confess my love for her, though my tongue is too shy to speak.

1. My eyes confess my love for her, though my tongue is too shy to speak.
I watch her eyes closely, hoping to see a spark of love - how I imagine it to be!

2. For in her eyes I see the same passion as mine, though our lips stay mute.
That is the mark of love when the mouth stays shut.

3. But why will she not confess when I have not, though she knows my heart as I know hers?
My friend, such silence is proper etiquette for those in love, as is discretion for lovers.
