1. With myself a lover who does not tire of reproach
If I increase his excuses, he increases anger

2. He prolongs my suffering by testing my patience
And he knows the hidden parts which are concealed

3. So I do not confide in anyone else since I knew him
And I do not look except afraid and waiting

4. O you who commit sins, know that he
Trusts that I am not, in secret, sinful

5. Is not my humility an intercessor with your conscience
