1. With victory comes he who is relied upon
And he who in his days is most noble

2. And he who for homelands and kingship and empire
Is refuge and fortress none vie or excel

3. And he whose might the world reveres
Before which even lions in their lairs cower

4. And he whose right hand pours the water of generosity
Reviving a land whose people have endured

5. And he who built the pillars of glory with ambition
Too lofty for any high-reaching to grasp

6. And he who strove to establish the finest schools
Wherein his sons in every art delve

7. Among them a jurist’s brother on the pulpits of law
To resolve disputes among all humankind

8. And among them a mathematician whose thoughts
Are ever engaged benefiting all people

9. And among them a surveyor, an accountant
Logging the tally of every roll and scroll

10. And among them an expert in industry and arts
Who works all good for the sons of his world

11. And among them a linguist and poet
Intoning verses in praise of the glorious

12. And among them a skilled doctor in his practice
Who sees disease vanish without trace

13. And among them a cavalryman, who when he draws his sword
And charges the foe, none are left to tell

14. And their riflemen who fire the guns’ flames
Hitting targets miles remote to fell

15. And cannon that batter the walls of enemies
With his artillery the night is sleepless

16. And the people count it enough that in his time
To the best state of affairs for all they came

17. And how the formation of councils restored them
To the rule of a judge in disputes impartial

18. And the good tiding of this came, so Egypt was adorned
For his arrival, and the hopeful triumphed

19. And it congratulated the seat of the caliphate when
It saw him ascending there, others cast down

20. And it rejoiced in God’s empowering him unceasing
To successful works from him ongoing and welcome

21. So live as long as you wish in a state you’re its lord
And your glory in it has long been sculpted

22. And meet with what you wish of the praises of a loyal one
Whose congratulations are concise and effusive

23. You remained, for the king supporting, vigilant
With excellence of opinion however hosts sweep

24. And what I said on the day of arrival chronicling
To Egypt Ismail with good tidings coming
