1. From obligatory written duties is my prayer
My praise of Ismail after my prayer

2. And my thanks to the youths is a duty I must fulfill
Throughout my life in Egypt

3. As for my praise of Hussein, it is complete
With what he encompassed of wonderful traits

4. Wonderful traits in him, rarely found together
In the leader of the army of victory in raids

5. Wonderful traits in him, some of which
Are conveyed to us by his just governance and trusted sources

6. And the breeze carries them about him wherever it blows
To spread them from him over the hills

7. And the relater hastens with them to every spot
Where his words penetrate

8. Oh what a chest you have qualified yourself with in Egypt
To attain the highest ranks

9. And the world shone with your lights that
Illuminated the plains and deserts for us

10. And you revived with joys the souls of a nation
Your existence in it is the greatest blessing

11. And an ocean of generosity overflowed the homelands
Flowing eternally with ample gifts

12. And it is enough for the sons of your time that
They have in you what is recited in all languages

13. And that they threaded their treatises
With the finest gifts for the best governors

14. So embark upon what entertains the soul
And do not fear after this the plotting of haters

15. For songbirds have trilled above the branches
And tree leaves sang poems to you

16. And nightingales stood on the branch of joy
Correcting their melodies with patience

17. And the hearts of all people inclined
Toward you in the meadow of intimacy despite enemies

18. And they stretched out their palms in their prayers
For the lengthening of your enduring stability

19. And support and aid for the most honorable state
Through which everything is abundantly blessed

20. And the Most High said to you, my status is as you desire
With the finest catch like lions in wait

21. And this is explicitly a prophecy from her
Conveyed by one of the relators after verification

22. And there my praise records
The impending marriage of Hussein to the happy one
