1. This is the unique pride of al-Husayn
The most noble cub of the wise vizier

2. Ja'far al-Sadiq who was endowed
With the neck of loftiness through insight so true

3. Its sun rose on the thirteenth
Of a new blessed year

4. Illuminating thereby the nights of Egypt
Which cease not to grow more joyous through this feast

5. And chronicling its advent in glory, one dated
“Chastity has arrived with a blissful face.”
