1. Through you the splendid state in Egypt ascends
To the summit of the shining full moon and is content

2. And through your widespread shade it attains its hopes
Through your excellent, praiseworthy rule

3. And it lives, God willing, despite its wounds
And whatever the eye finds distasteful is lifted from it

4. And from ignorance it erases the base forms
With guidance for it, outstanding and unmatched

5. And it uproots the terrible corruption with a sword
For championing justice, sheathed at the head

6. And it makes its heart deaf to harmful ignorance
With the nobility of beneficial sciences that prove their worth

7. And with determination it grants it fertile, abundant land
And attainment of wishes, in which is enduring pride

8. And it deflects from it every peril with effort
Whose opinion, management and fortune are most useful

9. And it fills it with justice, grace, wisdom
And nobility, prosperity, which the adversary admits

10. And it prevents from it whatever might bar its path
To excelling in the arena of renewal

11. And it grants it whatever advancements in civilization
It desires, which other cities undoubtedly envy

12. And through your rise, it champions God's religion
And Islam triumphs and paganism is extinguished

13. And in your protection the fearful are secure
From what they had been threatened with against themselves

14. And through your era, our times are set right
In which the hopeful attain what you promise

15. And in it, it always opens paths to fortune
Along which boy and elder alike are enriched

16. And it protects those under its care with a glance
At which the noses of the insolent stand still

17. And in redressing wrongs it puts to work an idea
With the light of guidance, burning far and wide

18. And without doubt it folds the register of greedy hopes
That were singled out before you

19. And it expends in spreading contentment that which
Fills the sea of frivolity and greed

20. And it repeals rulings that were falsely made
On matters forbidden by the Prophet Muhammad

21. And it well trains the armies with which
The lions of strife are scattered when they meet

22. And it plants in the world origins of prosperity
Whose seedlings chirp in every garden

23. And beneath the banner of glory it attains its wishes
And uproots the vestiges of those who rebelled

24. And eternal, ripened glory serves you
For as long as the crescent has prayed and worshipped the One

25. And as long as poets with eloquence in verse and prose attest
To the eulogies they've composed in praise of you

26. And as long I say in my congratulations, recording
Egypt's good fortune, divinely ordained
