1. A new joyous year has dawned upon blessed Egypt
It came with ease, and how joyous it is!

2. The Nile has overflowed, and soon it will quench
The thirst of its valley and plateau from its droplets

3. After being irrigated, the land wears a
Green dress, and the soft branch sways gently

4. With the justice and fairness of this regent
Egypt returns to the era of its youth

5. Has not God supported it through him
In our time, so His support has made it mighty?

6. O blessed Nile! In the age of loyalty
You are praised among all people

7. But Abu Al-Elya Saied is always
An abundant sea of continuous generosity

8. What a difference between you, O dear one, and him
In benefiting us, even though he is praiseworthy

9. He only visited once during the year
With some bitterness that increased purity

10. While every day, the waters of your blessings are among us
White, pure, renewing themselves

11. And your call, O most generous one, has not ceased
Bringing life through it to those near and far

12. You still stand at the seat of authority
Commanding, ordering, and driving away the enemy

13. With armies you deter the greedy aggressor
Who strives whilst his hopes are barred

14. And you provide Egypt with fertility and wealth
In the best era where you are unmatched

15. And you spread the banners of civilization in it
While the eulogizer praises you

16. The praise of grateful Abd al-Shakur praises you
With masterpieces that are strung into necklaces

17. Masterpieces extracted from the sea of your glory
With which the notebooks are adorned

18. You have not ridden amidst processions
Atop the litter of good fortune however you wish

19. And scattered right and left with it
Plentiful gold that has no limit

20. The day of celebration was enriched by its scattering
Among the elite and commoners of your Egypt

21. With kindness you mended the fracture of both worlds
At which old and young marvel

22. You pardoned a soul who came pleading
With tears carving valleys in his cheeks

23. And you supported the religion of truth with armies
Before whose assault the mighty tremble

24. Do you not sing, mentioning you and your father
So it is said: “What an excellent rhyme and rhythm!”

25. Or has not Tusun the vizier risen like his origin
To excellence, and the intelligent branch dominates?

26. Or have you not sat by the Gulf in a dome
Wherein dignity is accompanied by glory?

27. And ordered the release of water for us
That was severely barred by dams

28. So it flowed rapidly among the meadows
In beauty, as those present bear witness

29. And on the day of its festival and the night of its fullness
A rebel and heretic were burned by fire

30. The cannons roared in the air between the two banks
With your orders, like thunder

31. Rockets ascended towards it, having
A beautiful novel light and color

32. Its houses multiplied, while before it
Its full moon was singular and alone

33. Boats sailed upon the surface of the waters
Aboard which a singer aptly sings

34. The flute is befitted by the trilling of its reeds
Sweetly suited to its melody and the lute

35. And the people enjoy your field
Shaded by the shadow of generosity spread wide

36. Their happiness with the festivities increases
Their gratitude to a king in whom you trust

37. All of them spend the night and wake up
In a meadow whose extent is witnessed

38. And they wish that you would remain ruling Egypt
For all time – and how excellent eternalness is!

39. Remaining pleased with a nation
That took covenants upon itself for your sake

40. And remain hearing amidst the congratulations a eulogy
From a servant whose truthfulness is well-known to you

41. From a servant who, in composing history, has said:
“The Nile Valley was repaired by Saied.”
