1. The arrival of Riyaḍ is splendor itself,
And his coming to Egypt sheds light, enhancing its beauty.

2. The full moon greeted him, so Egypt shone bright,
And with his arrival, its splendor increased.

3. Our times became pleasant with his return,
Adorned with it, the beloved's presence brought joy.

4. O Muṣṭafā, you always gain on every journey,
What the soul and spirit desire.

5. And you are always victorious in your stay,
Achieving the highest, while the lowly bow to you.

6. You are the generous prince, aiding
The oppressed who sought refuge in you.

7. You have much insight and wisdom,
Your brothers in righteousness are bereft of it.

8. You have much forbearance, understanding and perceptiveness,
Your servant cannot praise enough.

9. You, exalted one, have much chivalry,
In this age, its wonders bring delight.

10. You have great determination in relieving distress,
Comforting those who seek your protection.

11. May their gentle touch bring you joy.
I hope, O Exalted One, you will accept them,

12. Even if cheeks do not blush for them.
Be a refuge, in travels and stays

13. For people, whose resolve weakens in tribulation.
Increase the loftiness, of what Majdī wrote in history,

14. The arrival of Riyaḍ is splendor itself.
