1. With banners we proclaim boundless gratitude
By reviving impartial justice, sound in foundation

2. And we fold the scroll of tyranny in the shadow of the just
For whom keen fortune smiles, relief draws near

3. And we extol him in gatherings with what
Adorns his virtues when minstrels sing his praise

4. And we race to laud Minister Ibn Ja'far
With thoughts outpacing all competition

5. He is the shining star, the famed overseer, a refuge
From a traitorous villain, breaker of covenants, unjust

6. And why not when treachery stirred up
Its devils and battle grew fierce

7. And would have, God forbid, destroyed him
Had his auspice not prevailed, swords flashing

8. And ended the sons after their father
And given them bitter sorrow to drink

9. He repelled them with piercing thoughts
And thus undid them before the swords could clash

10. And turned ruin away by strongest resolve
Beyond all past mighty intentions

11. And gave them safety so they sang
Long live the best of nobles, full of compassion!

12. Long live my pride - Musa and Ja'far
And champion of God's faith, scions of nobles!

13. May he remain mighty, true of word and promise,
Vanquisher of enemies, scourge of villains!

14. And may the land prosper in the reign
Of Abu al-Nasr Tawfiq, such good exists

15. He is the King famed for honesty and loyalty
For justice, piety and spreading nobility

16. He is the rightly-guided, the Mahdi, the guide
Who made Egypt most just ruler in creation

17. He is the virtuous, righteous, compassionate, Muhammad
Protector of subjects from the grip of tyrants

18. He is the unique banner whose love settled
In hearts of Arabs and foreigners alike

19. And his excellent sons are the finest youths
Who established the minaret of justice among nations

20. And solved hard problems with resolve
That eased from Egypt grave, heavy burdens

21. Among them is Riyad, prudent and skilled
Freely giving wise counsel, constant

22. And at once erases with the precious one's decree
All the losses they had caused

23. What an excellent, just president, protector
Who wards off every opponent from the nations!

24. Among them is Ali son of Mubarak, and he
Most truly serves his country

25. And wisely leads the Nile's water
To enrich the land, total triumph

26. Among them is Ali, ever overseeing
Knowledge, managing with dedication like a scholar

27. And spreading it through every valley with wisdom
And resolve to which discerning reason submits

28. Among them is Foreign Minister Mustafa
Who rebuts with keen understanding the march of invaders

29. And protects refugees in each quandary
With good relations and an understanding sentry

30. Among them is Abu al-Iqbal Sami who encompassed
The glory of meaning in the generosity of a ring-giver

31. And led the registry troops rightly
Reforming endowments with resolve

32. Among them is the Pride's Minister, of unmatched pedigree
Whose virtues none can reckon, though writers try

33. Scion of glories, who acknowledges through his bounty
Lords of pilgrimage and battle

34. Whom even rivals attest to his distinction
Above all diadem-wearers and turbanned ones

35. So around our beloved in Egypt they are
Like stars of fortune in the sky of great ones

36. O breast whose sword of justice vanquishes
The arrogance of criminals

37. O you whose severity in every affair
Softens the harshest difficulties

38. For your right, convey to them the praises of a loyal one
Who translates the conscience of the judicious

39. And lauds them not for any personal gain
Beyond restoring justice, as long as life remains

40. For I have remained, with them, a supporter
Of Tawfiq's success, by God ever sustained
