The truthful of promise, the peerless guiding light,
١. طابَ الثَناء عَلى الهمام الأَمجدِ
الصادق الوَعد الإِمام الأَوحدِ
2. Lion of combat, rain of the land, lofty of pedigree,
Ruler of Tunis, refuge for every steadfast soul.
٢. لَيث الشَرى غَيث الوَرى عالي الذُرى
سُلطان تونس كَهف كُل موحد
3. Reviver of Banu Hafs with resolute ambition,
Stern of will, subduer of the aggressor,
٣. محيي بَني حَفص بهمة حازمٍ
صَعب الشَكيمة قامع للمعتدي
4. Scion of Hussein, mighty hero whose light
Illuminates and guides like the sun in its height.
٤. نسل الحسين الضَيغم البَطل الَّذي
هُوَ شَمس إِرشاد تضيء لمهتدي
