1. Glad tidings of al-Husayn the glorious, son of the glorious
Of a newborn girl who excelled with the most generous lineage

2. A newborn girl, without peer, the sun of the morn
In loftiness and brilliance of singular beauty

3. She is the adornment of this world, granddaughter of Ja'far
The supreme minister, vanquisher of the heretic

4. O you who fulfilled the promise by which
That granddaughter attained what she desired

5. May your pride in life remain victorious
With lasting favor and eternal glory

6. And clear times and most blissful living
And advancement in knowledge and uniqueness

7. And a lifelong, happy prosperity
In a state ennobled by the family of Muhammad

8. Never did her rising in Egypt shine so brightly
As it glows under his auspicious, propitious star

9. Nor did al-Majdi ever come in praising you
With poems garlanded with fresh pearls

10. Nor speak on her birthday chronicling
An honor with the purest nativity
