1. Egypt shone with joy at the return
Of the auspicious king, noble and high

2. And donned the dress of delight and congratulations
Where it won the kiss of the most sublime feet

3. And recited upon the arrival, “We have opened for you
O visitor of the Prophet, the best door”

4. So remain for the king, O eminent in glories
With abundant fortune, winner of reward
