1. O king whose kindness has flooded all people with its abundance,
And whose justice has made his realms fragrant with his praise,

2. And whose firmness has raised up the pillars of his ancestors’ home,
And whose good conduct and rain of gifts have surpassed its times,

3. You are the just imam and the guiding light
That leads to the religion of guidance with faith,

4. And for you is the All-Powerful, O namesake of His prophet,
A helper against those whom His authority has deceived,

5. And victory walks before you fulfilling wishes,
And your horsemen circle you in celebration,

6. And Tunis endures, the crown of your kingdom,
A refuge which your loyal men retreat to.

7. My glory has not increased with my praise of you,
Though my inscription aspires to it daily,

8. But adorned with the beauty of gratitude to you,
O king of the times, his court.
