9. Among them are the palaces in Abdeen,
Which have good fortune in Egypt forever serving,

10. Among them is the beautiful Azbakeya,
Adorned with splendor inside its fences.

11. It has amusement parks
Where the wilderness always finds joy,

12. And the crown prince's palace is like
It's standing above the galaxy.

13. It has small palaces, gardens,
Landmarks for the revival of arts,

14. Paths leading to houses
Where residents and visitors head,

15. But how can a composer enumerate some of its features
And limit them in poetry, O composer?

16. In Giza, the splendid, is the finest palace,
Suitable for the king at all times.

17. Its oval field has surpassed
With satisfaction, to which guides point.

18. The gardens of the island's palaces have not ceased
To be the most wondrous ever built by conquerors.

19. Each place in its expanse is a landmark
With Egypt's clouds pouring from its sky.

20. The iron rails have spread
Throughout the country, gains from them,

21. Trade has flourished through them after recession,
With prosperity under the wing of peace.

22. Along its sides, trees have been planted wisely
To transport news of the lands,

23. The fortresses' cannons have become
Bombarding the fleets.

24. The walls have gun embrasures
With lightning strikes against corrupters,

25. They have men like mountains, around them
Lions, and behind the lions veteran warriors.

26. The honored one's administrations have risen
To uphold justice, pillars have supported them.

27. Whoever hopes for prosperity from the ministry of interior
Is met with abundant good, its sea is turbulent.

28. For it is in the state of glory alone
Each administration has a chief and ruler.

29. The interior has acquiesced and found guidance
By its direction, both nomads and foreigners.

30. Sharif's intellect, its heaven's light,
Protects its rulings from the maze of illusion.

31. The ministry of war has steadfastness
Supported at times of adversity by resolute heroes.

32. Its brave soldiers have severe assaults
On those who fight tyrannically while oppressing.

33. Its hawks in land and sea are always
Circling over the enemy's head ready to swoop.

34. All who enter the treasury thank
Its spending of funds suitably,

35. The loyal vizier has shown skill in it
With which every heart is amazed.

36. Establishing the education ministry testifies
That the reviver of education is determined,

37. And that adorning oneself with knowledge is a virtue
By which the noble and learned rise to glory.

38. And reach the height of honor under
Its blessed management, talismans disappear,

39. Knowledge spreads throughout Egypt
And the pillar of ignorance is toppled by serious effort.

40. Youths dress in the coolness of knowledge
By its teaching, the schools’ faces smile.

41. Especially in the ruling state
With Ismael's rain accumulating,

42. Without doubt, foreign affairs has become
With its management on its course, not quarreling,

43. It has a sword like Dhu al-Faqar
Striking the backs of tyrants' supporters.

44. How many times has it succeeded in regulating the most splendid city
With the public works administration's determination.

45. How mosques' light has increased with endowments
Where those fasting pray freely at night.

46. The treasury's provisions have been extended to collect
According to the noble Sharia, firmly held.

47. It goes without saying that the police proceed vigilantly
Againwith no critic praising a blamer.

48. Abu Hafs is among them, his nature
Is justice that resolves all conflicts.

49. The council system's wisdom is
Wrongs are repelled through it when litigants dispute.

50. The king's private council's decisions
End disputes, unmatched by courts.

51. Suffice it the honor that his command
Resolves all conflicting interests decisively,

52. And that he draws from Ragheb's opinions
Swords flexible in adversity.

53. In truth and in judgments, the keeper Hafiz

66. O king who revived the deeds of his father
The feats of which acknowledged superiority,

67. And walked in the footsteps of his ancestor
From whom noble souls have proliferated in Egypt,

68. And accomplished in two days what
Kings of an epoch, gone by, recoiled from,

69. And established the pillars of inheritance, by which
Countries have flourished and people delighted.

70. Remaining coercion in your righteous Egypt ceased
And past extortions vanished.

71. Boast of a king whose eye
Is human, whose success in it is a companion.

72. Live with your most generous sons supported
By mighty victory, the defiant's nose is bent.

73. For what you have created in your bliss
Is little compared to what Adam lived.

74. By God, had I not seen it
While awake, not sleeping,

75. I would have been, with falling short in describing its excellence
Like one dreaming to one who did not witness it.

76. Were it not for you, the wished-for homeland would not
Have found refuge, with a heart pure in affection protecting it.

77. Nor would you have raised its victory flag
And averted from its inhabitants grave perils,

78. You are the excellent king by whom
It reached the heavens since the banners folded over you.

79. In forbearance and valor, more clement than you is Hamphrey,
In spending, more generous than you is Hatim.

80. You are the just imam and the rightly guided one
To whom crowns then turbans bow down.

81. You are the one whose praise of your most high self
Has described the first springs of poetry and epilogues.
