1. The full moon rose from the noble Emir
On Egypt's horizon on the blessed feast day
١. البَدر أَشرَق مِن أَمير كاملِ
في أُفق مَصرَ بِيَوم عيدٍ فاضلِ
2. And good fortune appeared saying to the chronicler
Rejoice Ahmed has come from the just
٢. وَالسَعد لما لاحَ قالَ مؤرِّخاً
بُشراه أَحمَد قَد أَتى مِن عادل
