2. The fates assisted Egypt with a fortunate horoscope,
Sa'id and sound judgment in all affairs.

3. When he assumed rule, he removed her troubles
With resolve and determination in fierce struggle.

4. He transformed her terrors in adversities
To security for ages anew.

5. With his support, justice is established by Al-Mushiri,
And a brave army that destroys all enemies.

6. With his might, he honored his homelands
And humbled before him in war each obstinate one.

7. So ceaseless are days of celebration for them both
For him, on the throne, a most joyous feast.

8. And his noble heir continues successful
In pleasing him, for as long as praise is sublime.

9. And what Al-Majdi said in recording his rule—
Indeed, Shawwal was distinguished by fortunes grand.
