1. The sun of glory in the sky of civilization
Came with a full moon from a sure rising place

3. And with the month of Eid al-Fitr it appeared
On the day of its birth, the light of eyes

4. And to its father in Egypt, its magnificent grandfather
It gestured with a lofty position and stability

5. And an elevated status adorned its neck
With praises recited by all tongues

6. O Ahmed the good, who with his intelligence
Attained wishes in Egypt, the noblest abode

7. Congratulations on the boy in whose face
Appears to the onlooker the radiance of a believer

8. It is he who in his cradle ruled the summit
With good manners and excellent noble traits

9. I still affirm with it overflowing
In a state of sublimity and pleasant living
