1. Longing shook us for the sublime abode
O Prophet who excelled every prophet

2. So we headed to the Sanctuary in humility
And fastened our mounts’ reins

3. And unloaded our burdens at the door of glory
And cast our weights at the best renderer

4. It is the door of hopes, rather the farthest intention
And the most delicious of wishes to the ardent heart

5. It is the refuge of the forgiveness of Allah the Exalted
The origin of the light of existence, Taha the elect

6. A grasp of light, seeking help since ancient times
In the original world

7. It is the tablet of mysteries and the supreme pen
And a throne for the visual scene

8. The point of the universe, the pearl of protection, the soul of truth since the beginning in the absolute barzakh
Whoever dangled at the reach of two bows in proximity

9. And adorned himself with the white spring
O Prophet, you were the first light

10. That witnessed the light in the absent Sanctuary
Everyone in existence, east and west

11. Be they a prophet among people or a saint
Seeks your overflowing grace forever

12. Aspiring triumph from your high-giving hand
O refuge of humankind and best protection

13. And hope for every distant hearty
I turned my face to you, O fairest of face

14. So turn to it the face of the loyal
Far it from me that I ever be desperate

15. After I came to the sublime station
And I came to the Sanctuary with good thoughts

16. And conduct on the even path
Do not let me come while my luck is declining

17. Seeking others in the universal Sanctuary
How can I not attain my purpose when you are

18. The door to Allah, the bountiful fulfiller?
What will be my answer if I return and they say

19. What did you get from the Prophet?
Will you be pleased to return to me empty-handed, O best of mankind?

20. O Messenger of Allah, help me against an affliction
That struck me with its poisonous spear

21. I implored at your door with the truthful
And the pure, righteous companion

22. And with your caliph who would lie down
Whose rule you were pleased with

23. And with Uthman of bashfulness, the martyr
Of the abode, who possessed every splendid trait

24. And with your brave lion Ali
Storming the door in the Khaibar battle

25. And with all the Companions who were brought close
By a drink from your earthly wine

26. They are my hope in every illness and distress
From the night of overwhelming misfortunes

27. And my pride among my people in my youth and old age
Is my affiliation with your heights
