1. Whether Abdal-Ghani be my lord,
I'm a slave to the Lord of Abdal-Ghani.

2. I seek no other in all the world,
My nature disdains and spurns the base.

3. The riches of others are fruitless and vain,
But his riches are fresh and give joy and gain.

4. His knowledge is Sidrat al-Muntaha,
And from it the fruits of desire sustain me.

5. When destitute I come before his face,
From the bounty of Abdal-Ghani I attain wealth.

6. In the darkness of distress he is my sign,
I see the full moon shine with good fortune.

7. And dawn follows in gentle night,
Dispelling the anxieties of my plight.

8. The sun of fulfillment rises to light my way,
Awaiting it, the hopeful worshipper prays.
