1. I raise my cup in hearing among the connoisseurs of taste
And play melodies in various tones

2. O intoxicated and infatuated youth, look at my fading patience
From melancholy

3. And answer the call of passions with care
And yearning, and erase censure and judgment

4. From you, by Allah the Merciful, and beware the act of the heedless
Regarding favors

5. And seize the opportunity for good endeavors and move with the horses of the race
And leave the past and universes

6. Meet the gardens of mystic knowledge, possessed of beauteous blossoming
In the arts

7. And upon Mount Sinai where Moses heard the seven heavens
Pray now, O beloved

8. Recite the verses of the Quran, what does the affectionate lover lack
