1. Fate controls destinies
And the wise consider circumstances

2. Whoever does not watch the ever-revolving heavens
Will wander aimlessly and find no home

3. All that exists besides God is a mirage
That deludes the thirsty souls

4. When the winds of illusion blew upon it
It seemed to be covered in dust

5. But that dust cleared and dawn shone on the horizon
The day brightened and light spread

6. Oh how I regret sleeping in deceptive slumber
While dawn breaks on the horizon of my life

7. And hopes deceived me with their cup
Drinking from it intoxicated my mind

8. I strayed from guidance while that which I sought
Slipped away though on it life depends

9. I had neighbors who were the object of my quest
And through their light my eyes could see

10. But they hid from me, veiled by my arrogance
And distance grew between us, separating homes

11. Breaking my covenant with them marred my quest
My love's bond was fire and shame

12. This was not my intent
But God acts as He wills
