From the Perfect Original, finest of creatures alive

5. Upon him the honored strangeness that praises him
For the caller to guidance alive, he answered the dew alive

6. And he had been stripped of superficial equality
And by dhikr and litanies how many a night enlived

7. His Master prepared Paradise for him as a dwelling
And counted the martyr of love among the living

8. And in the Near Presence he took a garden
And his growing history by its pleasure lives
