1. Every noble soul praises itself rightly
Not inclined towards coyness except the virtuous

2. Especially the star who is lofty in might
The felicity of Saad and the manifest honor

3. Every felicity for others radiated through us
That was none other than Saad the vanquisher

4. He, by Allah, is the felicitous one
A generous soul who bestowed bounty

5. He is the heart of every noble body
And anything else from the noble are limbs

6. The protector whom they fear and dread
His might in battle like roaring camels

7. And the intrepid prince in the heat of war
When its flames are kindled with scandals

8. None can compete with him in war and endeavor
Those inept have retreated to peace

9. How could it not when aid and triumph
Always accompanied him going and coming

10. And the people of heart pay him heed
Their glances towards him hinting

11. So he is in the sea of his Lord's victory and support
You see him swimming with strength of purpose
