1. From the sea of praise to the Lord of bounty I draw
And in the wine of the rose garden of victory I imbibe

2. My connection to the sanctuary of nearness is in praying upon
He who returned from the peak of the Exalted with honor

3. The smooth, sweet, rosy spring, the witnessing mirror
And treasure of bestowal, full of gifts

4. Upon him pray, my God, then salute as long as
A downpour pours, following his sublime path, not halting

5. And upon his family and companions for as long as the predawn drizzles its magic
And stands reciting litanies ardently

6. And the door of victory, lofty, lowered
Certainly conveying a manifest state not hidden

7. And if the gardens of roses cast
Litany beads, plucking a scent from blessed petals

8. So set out for it with the wing of sincerity mounted
Witnessing the moment without distraction

9. And enter the gardens of gathering and gather their flowers
And witness the beauty of theophany in the highest chambers

10. And solace the soul in the scent of its meadow
And split open a delicate fragrance like flowers wafting lightly

11. And rise before dawn when the secrets
Were revealed, drawing back the veil and canopy

12. And say "My God, My God it is You, it is You"
And distract me from You, extract me from Your existence, and make me

13. Witness Your theophany and remove the garb of indifference
And it is pleasant when theophany is beautiful, its spring

14. So glorify in the sea of meeting witness and draw from it
And plunge in diving the sea of mystery collecting

15. Hidden pearls of secrets in shells
And spur carnelian onwards and flood the valley of quartz and begin at its bend

16. And spur on goods and ask about the one whose pasture
Has roots that graze the expanse of vision

17. An unseen treasure manifest through beauty so what
Jewels can match those charms besides

18. Giving one's existence in intense passion and fervor
So rise intoxicated to a rose whose stance is delightful

19. And follow the approach of one seeking closeness
And return with the arrival of spiritual influx splitting open

20. Litany breaths that were scented from a delicate garden
And bow in the mosque of detachment and prostrate there

21. Then draw near, O brother, the nearing and devote yourself
And mention wholly and strive the predawn vigil

22. And mount the steeds of truthful journeying, do not stop
Beware turning the steed of effort distracted

23. By opposing a face visible to others eclipsed
And I permit you so enter in reciting it

24. The garden of gifts and gather the flowers and pluck
And all our litanies so enter them sanctuaries

25. Of guidance and greet their pillars and circumambulate
And whoever's litany recitation persists from

26. His Lord and is saved from the spring of decay
Granted success wherever the journey's rising

27. Dawn a face illuminated by the light of nearness unveiled
So cling to the doors of the Almighty and stand

28. Describing the feet describing adherence and halt
And raise your ambition beyond the drag of worlds

29. For opening sentiments and describe it and praise it
And annihilation then extinction say two conditions

30. Whoever embodies them has no turning away
And I am the ephemeral poor and am characterized

31. Among the wilderness by innocence characterized
This while I hope from You in the predawn

32. Prayers that whiten what blackened of my records
And I hope for the pardon of the Bounteous for what

33. Transgressions came from me and profligacy
So bless Muhammad and his family and companions

34. The best blessings that persist and perpetual salutations
And forgive me, forgive me, forgive me
