1. O You who brings relief to the people after they had despaired
By spreading His mercy when they are afflicted by drought

2. You are the Relief and You are the One whose help is sought
Have mercy on Your servants, poverty has gripped them

3. And unleash Your accustomed generosity, quench them
With a drink of the dew of mercy, for tight-fistedness has spread

4. And rain will water, so they discuss it gratefully
A downpour showing them the pleasure that anger cannot diminish

5. And treat all with the gentleness they are accustomed to
So all are bound in the system of grace without effort

6. They live under the authority of the Truth’s desire without transgressing
O You who are just, in whose rule no injustice is seen

7. The beasts, the earth has become their pasture
And their enclosure, not aromatic plants and medicinal herbs

8. They roam free and the wind is their shepherd when they head out
While the birds scour the pebbles picking at them

9. The ground is bare of flowers’ gowns
And not a single blossom remains on its back

10. Even its lush meadows are derelict
As if they had never been adorned with plants

11. Yet You are the most generous favorer extending
The necks of hopes to those whose deeds have been nullified

12. To Your hands, O Most Generous, are raised
The hands of sinners, even if they transgress and despair

13. They beseech You while the night has donned darkness as attire
As if it is a black Zanj wearing a cloak

14. Dawn adorns it with the light of revelation as if
Uncovering the blackness of dark soil

15. One drinks of the wine of sin, becomes drunk with it
While another reaches an inexhaustible sea of pardon

16. And criminals are saved from punishments
While others, as You have informed us, are confused

17. Some live in misery, while for them
The gates to You are open, though veiled to their eyes

18. One sees an evil servant, yet he is aligned
In the path of those encircling the Throne

19. An atheist claims a god other than You
While a denier wallows in the abyss of disbelief

20. Another wanders astray, confused in his creed
Perplexed by the polytheism of idols

21. Each attains the portion allotted in destiny
And all are pressed down in the grave by inescapable decree

22. They emerged as the foretold had preceded them
Some were elevated, while others fell into passion

23. A just decree from God in His creation
And they are pressed into the system of His order

24. We do not object to one prominent in His manifestations
Submission to whom is incumbent upon us

25. The sins of mankind are but as a letter
Effaced by the outpouring of His favor

26. Rather, a drop fallen in the oceans of pardon
Can a drop be compared to the abundance of oceans?

27. We have no refuge but the Bountiful, and those
Encompassed by His mercy in His system

28. The First, the Last, the Reserve, the Relief, and the one
Who will be at the Basin, and the Outstanding Eminence

29. That Messenger, for whom all people
Are envied for attaining the highest station of praise

30. Just as all will be delighted with that Intercessor for us
On Judgment Day, joyful and glad

31. Blessings upon him, unending
Paired with greetings forever entwined

32. By the bond of the Exalted Master, who specified him
With them, his name bound to His name in remembrance
