1. If one you love glances at you
With an eye, you then find the abode of paradise

2. You become cheerful of eye where its bliss is
The heavens have unveiled from the fire of your heart and affliction

3. So be patiently drinking the bitterness of his aversion
For after all bitterness comes sweetness

4. And avoid drinking poison from the eye of one who refuses you
For one who intends to be consoled will never taste the sweetness of bounty
