1. Hardship is the sign of relief
So beware, O companion, of despair

2. Your sleep is not where good comes from
Rise towards your protector and rejoice

3. And smile at this life
No devoted servant was ever disappointed after knocking

4. On a door that was never closed
So enter through the door like one who preceded

5. And leave the universes and rise in the dark
And be truthful in your passion and ardour

6. And approach the palm tree trunk and shake it
And pluck the fruits of your purpose and gather

7. And take the path of truth and traverse it
And adhere to the door of the master and you will succeed

8. And thus you will be empty of sin
From serious longing that was found

9. And the time of favor turned to him like a rose
So take off your shoes at the mountain of guidance

10. And abandon all desires forever
And leave superstition and confusion

11. And beautify your obligations with the ways
Of Taha the Chosen and exert beautiful effort

12. And if you hope for blessings from the Master
Beware, my brother, of accompanying he who would harm you

13. Towards the one who guides you to Him so for that
And beware being with those who were abandoned

14. And if you fear harm from the world
Then be content, ascetic, and remember Him as such

15. You should not incline towards any door but His
If you want the Living, you will reach Him

16. If you are performing good deeds, you will reach Him
And repel strangers and remove yourself from them

17. And enter the tavern of the Friend and own it
Towards the Tavern Keeper, my father As-Siraj

18. And go briskly to the one with pure love
For through him the thirst of the heart is quenched

19. And extinguish with the cup the flame of your fervor
And drink and rejoice, fearing nothing but Him

20. Beware of growing bored of this path
And for the tears of the eye, weep blood

21. And distribute to the poor of mankind
And return to God and put your trust in Him

22. How can you not have reached enlightenment if not
And go to the doors and enter them

23. Be apologetic of your delay
And submit through humility so you may be victorious

24. Repeat at night when it is darkest
"My Master, I have come to You broken"

25. "And longing for none but You"
"O Lord, I ask You by the interceder of sinners"

26. "Far be it that the shelterer would refuse one who seeks refuge"
"And I say I ask forgiveness from You, my Lord, so smile"

27. "And I have come to you empty
Of my fasting and prayers and pilgrimages"

28. "And have mercy on us and remove affliction"
"Due to our Muhammad, the Seal of Messengers"

29. "So I have hoped in You without resource"
"And such is my knowledge and deeds"

30. "And my evidence along with my proofs"
"My limbs, the sin has demolished them"

31. "And dire affliction has overwhelmed them"
"And poverty like flowing blood"

32. "I own nothing but tears"
"Of fear that rage will overwhelm me"

33. "None but You have given me hope"
"Of favor when the clouds of worry mounted"

34. "You are the Bestower to those who asked"
"Is there, other than Your side, one who is sought?"

35. "And Your beauty of splendid cheer"
"I have not taken a lord besides You"

36. "If another diverted harm from me"
"Be You, by Your truth, protection for me"

37. "From whoever seeks other than You"
"You see him in the darkness of distance astray"

38. "How much hope I have in nearness to You"
"Undoubtedly by a favor from You I reach the heights"

39. "So remove affliction and anxiety from me"
"Are You not the One who leads the lost astray

40. And the one who guides attains salvation?"
"And allow me to taste the drink of union"

41. "As by the Names You have manifested to me"
"What state of mine accompanies me"

42. "And the tears of my eyes race me"
"Running from fear of You"

43. "How the mention of You heals every pain"
"And its light penetrated the innermost depths"

44. "I called with passion and fervor"
"O Intimate of my heart, leave my blame!"

45. "And shorten from this embarassment"
"Take from me the secrets of wisdom"

46. "That you may see the meaning of the Near"
"So refrain and return, do not preoccupy me"

47. "How much you blame me but do not excuse me!"
"Leave me in expansion and relief"

48. "For Your beauty my spirit travels"
"And by Your splendor it is perplexed"

49. "And carefree of strangers"
"My ear inclined to my Beloved's call"

50. "Deaf to the foolish slanderer's talk"
"So heal through the favor of love"

51. "And by the spirit's relief the heart settles"
"Then the taste from the blended overflows"

52. "O Keeper of the Tavern of wine, serve"
"A draft and leave the adulterated"

53. "For the heart the undiluted drink is beneficial"
"And removes the hardship of harshness from it"

54. "So let me taste three sips from it"
"And pour the cup of secrets and leave me"

55. "To become from it intoxicated"
"For intoxication has taken"

56. "Our spirits and pleasant is its scent"
"With a Beloved who followed truth closely"

57. "My Master, through the secret of union, so"
"And the gathering of all gatherings and each flood"

58. "With a beauty that dazzled all beauty"
"And thereby the near ones were infatuated"

59. "With attributes that have exalted and favored"
"By the essence, the secret of secrets, the Bestower"

60. "Of bounties, my Lord, from You lead down"
"And thereby the enraptured draw near to Him"

61. "And by a light in which came scriptures"
"And conditions of the dweller of the heart"

62. "By the appearance of the Beloved's Names"
"By Your Greatest reality, my Lord"

63. "And the light of the light that radiates"
"By glory in which came examples"

64. "And a hidden treasure that manifested"
"And by what we have said, "Yes indeed!""

65. "By blindness by which I was eternally"
"With Muhammad who came with clear portents"

66. "His hand upon you goodness pours"
"And thereby the enraptured draw near"

67. "And by a light in which came books"
"And by the secret of nearness and that love"

68. "And the people of attraction crooked"
"And those who yearn for moral excellence"

69. "And those by whom the ideals are watered"
"And by what you created of mankind"

70. "By what is in them of caprice"
"And the people of truth and their argument"

71. "And the people of sincerity and their secret heartfelt counsel"
"And the people of remembrance and their fervor"

72. "And the people of love and their delight"
"And the sea of power and tide"

73. "Good pleasure and its paradise"
"And the disciple of travel and his prayer direction"

74. "And the wine of the tavern and its intoxication"
"And the perfume of union and its pleasures"

75. "And the carpet of intimacy woven"
"And the overflowing of generosity to one who seeks"

76. "And attaining success for one who worships"
"And the guide in your meaning who limits"

77. "And the heart in your tribulation that endures"
"And your life that cannot be disrupted"

78. "By my father the host, have mercy"
"And the speaker to the Mount, his servant"

79. "And Jesus the Spirit and his corporeal form"
"And the manifestation of the night and its scholar"

80. "And the darkness of the cosmos like ink"
"And Noah the supplicant and the abandoned one"

81. "And by his prayer the command came to pass"
"And by what has diffused of pleasant scent"

82. "By stations of orbits and likewise"
"Their rising and setting and each mansion"

83. "And all the messengers and their companions"
"And the guided ones and their faction"

84. "And the near ones and their love"
"By the Household in the company of the one for them"

85. "All goodness comes to us"
"And by a secret from us that was veiled"

86. "And a light in which the cosmos was illuminated"
"And by whom in love was resurrected"

87. "Facilitate and mend my brokenness through pleasure"
"That I may become by your union joyous"

88. "Goodness for the believer is remembrance's juice"
"And for attaining the goal by it is union"

89. "So unveil from us anxiety and descent"
"And adorn with the garment of good pleasure"

90. "One who pours in love of You, loving fervor"
"In the Greatest Name that was manifest"

91. "And God's Book and what was recited"
"Increase me, from Your guiding light, illumination"

92. "And grant my heart Your breaths, O my Master"
"And hasten relief"

93. "O Lord, Your servants have sinned"
"So woe to him if You do not have mercy"

94. "And the warner of death decides his affair"
"And my sorrow if You do not erase"

95. "The sins of error from ascent"
"Facilitate, my Master, its transcription"

96. "And its compilation and its continuity"
"And graciously, O Lord, bless its endings"

97. "And forgive, O Lord, its composer"
"And soften for him the highest rank"

98. "How the tongues in the late night roamed"
"And thereby the souls of the people joyed"

99. "Bestow, O Lord, what was sought"
"And allow listening to what was sung"

100. "Rise towards your protector and rejoice"
"For by it goodness appears for us"

101. "And by its meadows roses have diffused"
"Not by the tavern do the fervent there sing"

102. "Nor one passionately in love reciting poetry at dawn"
"Hardship has led to destruction"

103. "Bestow favor, O Lord, upon my supply"
"Relieve for me the darkness of my misery"

104. "By a prophet by whom the praiser said"
"And may the prayers of God be upon the guide"

105. "And peace be gifted in arguments"
"For our perfecter and our master"

106. "And our advisor and our guide"
"And greetings from our inventor"

107. "To our Muhammad and our Ahmad"
"Not by the meadow's blooming"

108. "Or the cosmos illumination by his mission"
"Or the precedence of messengers by his advent"

109. "Or what we have won by his love"
"And upon the truthful, his successor"

110. "And likewise the Farouq and every saved one"
"And upon the Helpers and martyrs"

111. "And those who witnessed Badr"
"And those who strove in the religion"

112. "And upon Uthman the martyr of the house"
"And fulfilled thus rising to the highest rank"

113. "And the door of knowledge and its masters"
"Those who have taken poverty from it at length"

114. "And he is the repeating and likewise the Master"
"And my father Abu Al-Hasanayn with the first ones"

115. "And likewise the wives and every flood"
"And upon those who aided it"

116. "And upon the flowing in its path"
"After all his kin"

117. "And upon the Mahdi and his family"
"The appeased in the time of distress"

118. "And upon whom you were pleased in affirmation"
"And upon the enraptured compelled by love"

119. "And upon the roused for the cause"
"And upon the one who paved the way on earth"

120. "Not atop God raised their loftiness"
"Or more effaced their heedlessness"

121. "So perpetuate, O Lord, their exaltation"
"Not has a loving one inclined towards them"

122. "Or the caravan travelled the highway"
"Not have they spread among us boundless knowledge"

123. "And thereby uncovered from us terror"
"Nor a caring one sincere of speech"

124. "Nor a supplicant calling the Master"
"Seeking victory and relief"

125. "Their loftiness God has raised"
"Or effaced their heedlessness"
