1. O my Lord, give to our sincere friend
Possessor of kindness, excellence and true knowledge

2. Relieve us, God of the Throne, from every hardship
And bestow Your grace upon us always, our Lord

3. And upon Your firstborn son of eternal knowledge
Who quenched with the pure those longing for truth

4. And gave drink to the fevered in every art
Excelling amid scholars in the heights of glory

5. O my Lord, grant us to rend the veil
And at our retreat provide the sweetest drink

6. Open for us the best path of the mystic way
And seal for us with goodness, O Lord of Lords
