1. With wand entwined like dawn that carries light,
A dusky darkness like the murky night,
١. وَمُزَنَّرٍ كالصبحِ يحمل لِمَّةً
سحماءَ مظلمةً كليلٍ داجِ
2. He makes the darkness bright with magic cup
As though he hastens to his friends with lamp.
٢. يجلو الامَ بكأسه فكأنما
يَسْعَى على نُدَمائهِ بِسرَاجِ
