23. And I do see praising those belittling me
Is the best reason for the pleasure of an easy life

24. To make me, after hardship,
In one with vegetation and green fertile land.

25. So my soul appears threatening me

26. So I return regretting, seeing prosperity
And construction in the evening of ruin.

27. I have tasted the sweetest of life
And its most bitter, O soul and adversity.

28. So I found myself closer to boredom
Of both and more loving of original nature.

29. Between my two sides, which are
The cage of worries and place of sorrows,

30. A heart that pounds with disturbance to care
And yearns longingly to fatigue.

31. And a brother whom I get along with in tendencies
And nature, in seriousness and play.

32. I denied any weakness in his determination
And flexibility that calls for doubt.

33. So I discarded him, fearing the purity
Of my instincts would be infected from him.

34. And I buried him without my heart seeking him
Regretfully and without my tears pouring.
