1. O pillar of glory, O brother of merit and dew
O soil of literature, O garden of poetry

2. In you is a tremor for mankind
As shivered a lantern with the breeze of dawn

3. May Allah grant you the nobility of magnanimity
And protector of the honorable against the terrors of darkness

4. And one prepared in every chalice that excites him
The glories of the eminent, and the triumphs of the generous

5. So in the meadow of outpacing in the fervor of turmoil
Are the onslaughts of the valiant, and the banners of supporters

6. And in the meadow of outpacing in what he inscribes
Are the melodies of strings, and the splendor of legends

7. O pillar of glory, the generous is entrusted
With his like of the virtuous and the righteous

8. The magnanimity of the benevolent has poured upon
Every talented one, at every arena

9. O knight of nations, around him gather
The robes of singers, and the glow of narrators

10. Accept then robes of poetry composed
For your brilliant assembly, bouquets of flowers
