1. The crown embraced its sons and transcended
The guardian of the crown transcended with glory

2. A nation transcended that did not deviate
From the path of truth, nor went astray into misguidance

3. A nation that hates the imposition
Of victory by a colonizer, and refuses humiliation

4. It trampled with ‘Aarima’s feet
The neck of injustice, and willed its choking

5. It crossed the embers of rage to
The kindling of death, which made it more ablaze

6. It walked to glory knowing
That it will ask the soul about the fleeting life

7. It knew that those who laid down
The carpets of brocade in luxury and bliss

8. Their delicate fingers due to gentleness
Cannot bear to separate from the meat

9. Then they wanted glory in what can be attained
As jewelry that adds beauty to the house

10. Time has written on their doors
On the margins of history, powerless and helpless

11. While those who exhausted their energies
In hardships, they were the real men

12. The crown embraced its lion cubs
Not wanting separation from its young

13. It challenged those who challenged, declaring
That it welcomes honest contest

14. A healing hand stretched out
And cured a chronic, hard affliction

15. It wiped a burning teardrop
Over a wound that exuded fragrance as it flowed

16. The eagle of Quraish spread its two beloved wings over them
Casting shadows of glory

17. Glory rests in its den
Tired after encountering exhaustion

18. O guardians of purity in the midst of a struggle
Which the impure crowded, so they inclined

19. Like the twittering of flowers in bloom
No sinner's hand soiled it with desecration

20. They came from every ridge, women and men,
South and north

21. O youth who dyed the land in blood
That adorned the parchment of glory

22. Who granted the oppressor disgrace and bowed
And endowed the nation with glory and pride

23. Give more of your blood, give abundantly
So history's mouth speaks more of glory and supplication

24. For it thirsts for the likes of it
Not blood that has clotted and stagnated

25. Inscribe it in a page, so that if mentioned
You will be the paragons and ideal in it

26. A night has cast its weight upon you!
And nights will come to you fertile!

27. And end the era of ‘leaderships’ that are barren
Liars who attributed to themselves falsely

28. Groups – anything but unified –
Rags and celebration

29. From the debris of every betrayer
And a blatant false claim said and spoken

30. And frauds claiming they have paired
Betrayal with stature and influence with wealth

31. Stop at the events of the martyrs, do not shed
A tear over them nor mourn contrived

32. Do not disgrace the era of ‘manhoods’ that
Hate weakness and refuse to surrender

33. And take from their burial grounds a whiff
That fills the nostrils with honor and majesty

34. Place the wreath, a fresh flower
Over a flower of conscience that glitters

35. Then lower your wings over it
Then deliver it, if you wish, as a message!

36. O you who roam in your tours
You have perfumed a dwelling and graced an arena

37. We all envy you for attaining
The honor of opportunity – beforehand – to sacrifice

38. We all walk in your footsteps
With light and heavy sacrifices

39. We are all compliant to your inspiration
In what the free homeland wants compliance

40. So if you wish, we shall walk it willingly
And if you wish, we shall walk hastily

41. And if you wish, we shall dye it in blood
A dye that signals the state has passed

42. O guardian of the covenant to the valley, and
O hope of the valley in strength and receptiveness

43. The upright cross refuses a prod
And the high held head refuses to bow

44. The people rushed to their savior
Throwing in the great square the men

45. Those who claimed in your fears
That he asks for what cannot be attained have lied!

46. Tell those who monopolized
The pleasures and the rule deceitfully

47. And those who fabricated that they alone
Extended ropes to the throne!

48. So many loyal ones in a dark burrow
And ruins where the water is pure

49. Were more sincere in their love of you
Than hypocrites pretending and feigning

50. And those who boasted that they
Can clothe the people however they wished in shoes

51. And those who rallied around them
Hordes that evil equipped as warriors

52. To block the path of an idea with a ‘whip’
And ‘fire’ to prevent a word from being said

53. Tell them: You are not my comrades, so go away!
This people do not seek the impossible!

54. It disdains from its rulers
The policy of coercion and refuses oppression

55. It wants justice in its rules
And equality even if difficult to attain

56. It is not ‘said’ the people, but a faction
That usurps the people, more deserving to be dismissed

57. It dislikes in its rulers
The scheme of tyranny and refuses exploitation
