3. We hoped you would humble the arrogant
But who now will stand up to adversities if they arise?

4. You tackled events with truthful deeds

5. The loss of you made misfortunes feel trivial
And after it our hearts grew tough

6. Alas! The teardrops hoard the deep wells
Seeking you after you were gone, they overflowed

10. By God, you hastened like a drawn sword to generosity
Like a torrential flood if it rushed forth

11. O people of the land of grace and lofty glory
Is there anyone among you who knows of Kamil and can inform us?

12. For we have received the news that Kamil passed away
If hard times befall you, O people of brilliant minds

Many groups of you were his dependents

14. And whoever was an orphan among them found a father in him
All parts of your land were astonished by Kamil

They said the chief of the Christians, but I said to them:

16. โNay! He is the pillar of every honorable Arabโ
If the outskirts of your land render Kamil his due

17. With weeping, even rocks would crack and hills slide
I yearn for the perfect Kamil, how he lies

I yearn for the full moon, for its rising is gone

19. I yearn for the tumultuous sea, for its water has run dry
I yearn for the noble master, denied by groups

20. That for so long relied on him in hard times
I yearn for the sublime paragon that when gone

21. The world lost the finest role model for the gifted
For one whom, if you accompanied all your life

22. You would find none but loyalty, honesty and grace
On his face you read verses of his virtues

23. And say: Glory to He who destined this
A brother who supports me in adversities

24. I cherish no one among my kin more than him
Each day I see in him a trusted brother

25. While in others I see enviers and schemers
How much I hoped to enjoy his company one day

26. And quench with his vision the fires of longing
How much I remembered him in my estrangement

27. hoping a morning breeze would blow his smile to me
Until the unexpected news reached me

28. And with it made kindling of the saplings of my hopes
And a bundle of calamities when I saw them

29. Made my wishes vain and life nonsense
Who can help me hold back the falling teardrops

30. On my cheek, and the sleep that has fled?
Wait, O noble house of glories, your misfortune

ุฎูุฏูู ููุฅูู ุฃูุฏุฑููู ุงููููู

31. Has brought misfortune to the beloved homeland
All purebred Arabs weep for him

ูููุงู ุจููู ุงูุฃูุณุนูุฏู ุงูุฃูู
ุฌุงุฏู ุฎูุทุจูููู
ุฎูุทุจู ุจููู ุงูููุทููู ุงูู
ูุญุจูุจู ููุฏ ููููุจุง
32. Those settled in towns and nomads in the desert
Had we gathered elegies from all continents
ูฃูข. ุชูุจูู ูููู ุงูุนูุฑูุจู ุงูุนูุฑุจุงุกู ุฃูุฌู

33. We could not fulfill the rightful dues for him
But death is inevitable, it cannot be resisted with

34. Sorrow, nor can tears cease flowing for it
I thought I would console you with my sermon

We are only passengers who rode in a caravan

36. And we will all drink the cup he drank
O Lord, shower his tomb with any passerby

37. So places around it flourish and thrive
I gifted him the vine of sublime traits

38. So bestow generosity upon him, our Lord
