1. Time destroyed the knight with its flow,
And increased its destruction with its steeds.

2. If the young man had a purpose, he would not benefit
From the sharpness of his sword and the length of its sheath.

3. It forcibly attacks the helpless man after weakness,
So what is the benefit of its creation?

4. It inherits extinction, and one who did not inherit
Anything but death from his ancestors.

5. Neither the pride of youth will intercede for a man
At the time of death, nor the intelligence of his mind.

6. Separation wounds everyone, and I wish
That all separation was a separation of happiness.

7. A separation that the world’s misfortunes sufficed,
And with it sufficed the pessimist with its darkness.

8. The loved one deteriorates and his friend changes,
In a bed that its thorns have exhausted him.

9. Exposing himself to misfortunes, the dust is in
His chest forever, and in his narration.

10. O separation that separated us,
Since in it is the meaning of time’s tyranny.

11. Time is too shameful to be seen
With wisdom, of lasting remains over its individuals.

12. It still grieves us with them until the honour of the young man
Among people became with his disappearance.

13. So miserable is a life that is torn apart with
Like the peace of the land, miserable for its countries.

14. And miserable are the virtues and glory after him,
And miserable are the days after his distance.

15. Who shook this country, grieving for his loss,
Until the heart of its inanimate broke?

16. And the middle of patience and lamentation was passed,
The floods of sorrows overflowed its dams.

17. And our hopes were ended after him,
Time does not revive them to his settlement.

18. The most courageous, noble one, who with his knowledge,
And his generosity was like the sea in its abundance.

19. The high-flying fame, his high position,
And the brilliant good deeds in making him happy.

20. He who was a door to hope, reaching
In calamities, the one who hopes for the fulfillment of his purpose.

21. He stopped life to serve knowledge, which
Was truly a right, laying down its cradle.

22. So he passed away after his father, in the lifetime of his father,
Except the succession of his mourning to his mourning.

23. I grieve for him, he was a pillar of sublimity,
Its pillar was his gentleness and birth.

24. The days of his brilliant glory make the luminaries
And the planets jealous of his enemies.

25. Days when you would not find him but struggling
And striving in knowledge, truly striving.

26. Days when he ascended the pulpits preaching,
The snakes would shake in awe of his words.

27. Wait to see the state of those who left them,
And see the judgment of God among His servants.

28. Of everyone who took the pillows as their friend,
And lamented according to their number.

29. Of everyone who composed the elegies, making
The blackness of his ink from the melting of his eyes.

30. I left mention of you in the world, not fleeting,
But the days end before its depletion.

31. So go to your Master, O you who has fulfilled,
Thankfulness to the Merciful is the most provision.
