12. With every smooth and slippery scoundrel
Who has not experienced or grazed in the pasture of integrity,

13. The wind drives him and the eminent rebuke him

14. He knows no fatigue in his endeavor

15. To him in the distance, a day, a week
A month and a year are all the same,

16. When he touches the ground in his running
His rider fears being thrown off,

17. Or like any lovely gazelle of Aziziya
Trodding gracefully with her luggage like an ostrich,

18. Accompanied by a well-built and slender-waisted man
Wearing short socks and a long belt,

19. So that I may meet a king who grants
The glorious their rightful station,

20. Purified in morals, with ambitions that soar

21. His wealth complaining of his stinginess

22. Whoever meets the sun of religion meets a man
Who sits while his enemies stand,

23. His generosity awakened the seekers of dew

24. If it werenโt for him the people of our time
Would not know any king except the avenger,

25. He avoids vanity and loves piety
And keeps his word and watches over the oaths,

26. He never uttered vile words in any gathering
Or listened to the lies of speech,

27. Neither is his illumination ever dim
Nor are his clouds of generosity mere drizzle,

28. He pleased the God of the Throne with His creation
Since he came to power, and pleased the Imam,

29. He is so virtuous, never has the brother of wealth
Clung to him out of greed,

ูููู ุตูุฏุฑููู ุจูุงูุฑูุบุงู
30. How many frightening situations has he resolved
When anxieties pressed like childbirth pains,

ูู ููุฐุงุชู ุงูููุญุงู
31. Seeing what befell his brothers
Of calamities, he would cry โhold on!โ,

32. Remaining bent over his face
Melting in sorrow and longing for doves,

33. Since he came to power no Muslim
Has worried about losing his blessings,

34. He cared for the poor and gave them life
And respected the wealthy with utmost respect,

35. While others when put in charge
Left nothing beneath the skin except bones,

ููุจูู ุชูุญุชู ุงูุฌููุฏู ุบููุฑู ุงูุนูุธุงู
36. With beating, crucifixion, slitting of lips
Pulling out fingernails, and branding of faces,
ูฃูฆ. ุจูุงูุถูุฑุจู ููุงูุตููุจู ููุญูููู ุงูููุญุง
ูููููุนู ุงูุฃูุธูุงุฑู ููุดูู
ู ุงูุฃููุงู
37. Having no shame for white hair or mercy for the youth of boys,
How many fine horses were brought out improperly

ููุฑุซู ูููุดููุฎู ุญููุงุกู ู
ูู ุงูุด
ุดููุจู ููููู
ููุฑุญูู
ุดูุจุงุจู ุงูุบููุงู
38. Led to be whipped without dignity,
No immoral act calling for prescribed punishment

ุญูุตุงูู ุฃูุจุฑูุฒูุช ุฌููุฑูุฉู
ุชูุณุงูู ูููุฌููุฏู ุจูุบููุฑู ุงูุญุชูุดุงู
39. Or deserving of depriving the servants,
Do not call the sun of religion anything but savior of mankind,

ุง ุฃูุชูุช ูุงุญูุดูุฉู ุชููุชูุถู
ุญูุฏูุงู ูููุง ุชููุฌูุจู ุณููุจู ุงูุฎูุฏุงู
40. For that name befits him, not the oppressive tyrants,
O Basra, lose yourself in rapture over him

ุณู ุงูุฏูููู ูุง ุฐุง ุงูุญูุฌุง

ูุฎุงุทูุจุงู ุฅูููุง ุบูุงุซู ุงูุฃููุงู
41. For he is the most courageous and determined king,
And he is the sole one in this world

42. In wisdom, knowledge, munificence and resolve,
He brought security and pushed away terror

43. Reduced and about to expire,
He did not turn his cheek arrogantly

44. Nor seal injustice with approval,
O father of bravery, O cream of all

ุบูุถูุงู ูููุงูุง ุขุฐููุง ุจูุงููุตูุฑุงู
45. O pure of any blemish or defect,
O one resembling Dhul Qarnayn from his lineage

ููุจุฑุงู ููููู
ูููุถูุถ ููุฌููุฑู ุฎูุชุงู
46. The glorious kings, honorable sons of Jurhum,
As if Basra since you conquered it
ูคูฆ. ูุงุจุง ุดูุฌุงุนู ูุง ุซูู
ุงูู ุงูููุฑู
ูุง ุทุงููุฑุงู ู
ูู ููููู ุฐูู
ูู ูุฐุงู
47. Was shards of a scabbard from which swords were drawn,
Instead of your affection it felt desolation
ูคูง. ูุง ุดูุจูู ุฐู ุงูููุฑููููู ู
ูู ุฑููุทููู ุงู
ุบูุฑูู ุจููู ุงูุนููุตู ุงูู
ููููู ุงูููุฑุงู
48. And after illumination was clothed in darkness,
And every land that lost its sun

ูุฐ ุฌูุฒุชููุง

ุฏู ุณูููู ู

49. Gloom covered its plains and tents,
And now that you have returned to it, it has bloomed

ููุฃููุจูุณูุช ุจูุนุฏู ุงูุถููุงุกู ุงูุธููุงู
50. And smiled broadly with good news,
For it is not devoid of your care nor

51. Are you unconcerned for rejecting loftiness,
My esteemed master, I address you without

52. Ceasing, for you are the rescuer of mankind,
For that name befits you, not the unjust tyrants,
