1. You boast of the day of Shaytan though others
Are harmed by the day of Shaytan and benefitted,

2. And you have come with it, blameworthy and disgraceful,
Almost overflowing with evident ignominy.

3. If there are people taken unaware,
You are the most abject and grievous of raiders.

4. Two groups of them, one whom the sea engulfed
Like the engulfing of Thamud and Tubba's people.

5. And none of you are like the champions of Bakr ibn Wa'il
For our raid but humiliated and branded.
