1. The Messenger of God, my fate has become straitened
And calamities have intensified as brotherhood has been severed

2. O Messenger of God, your lofty rank
Is too high for any summit to reach

3. O Messenger of God, I seek refuge
In your rank, though time aggresses against me

4. I have no stratagem left but to seek refuge
In your rank, when seeking refuge is honoured

5. I hoped in you, O son of Amina, as I am
A lover, and for the lover there is hope

6. Maybe through you my troubles will be removed
And many a trouble through you finds relief

7. O Messenger of God, your grace has no limit
The earth and sky are too narrow for it

8. Save me from the sins that have condemned me
For you are the best cure for my affliction

9. Take my hand, for I am an evil slave
Prone to accumulate sins through trespassing

10. And intercede for me on the Day of Assembly
When people suffer terrible tribulation

11. Realize my hopes, O Messenger of God
For I have no doubt regarding your generosity

12. Far be it that my efforts should fail before you
For your generosity has no end

13. Yet I came to you, and the noble keeps faith
Far be it that my hands return empty

14. For your grace is not diminished by pleading
You have clear, manifest miracles

15. Like the sunlight, with nothing hidden
And manners that sweeten poetry

16. So praise in it tastes sweet and good
While you have been given a sublime character

17. And we would sacrifice ourselves for you in general
We read in Surat Ad-Duha "And soon will your Lord give you"

18. So our hearts rejoiced at this gift
Far be it, O Messenger of God, that you would be pleased

19. While among us are those punished or miserable
Glory to Him who took you on a night journey

20. And on the Ascension you ascended
You attained the utmost of sovereignty

21. Beyond the ranks of the Exalted
God brought you near, a bow's length away

22. While transcendent, the veil was lifted
He singled you out with guidance in every matter

23. So you desire nothing but what He desires
You became foremost in this world and the next

24. And the prophets prayed behind you
O Messenger of God, your merit cannot be counted

25. And your lofty rank has no end
We heard praise of you and were elated

26. And through its meaning we were content
You were created free of every flaw

27. As if you were created just as you wished
No eye has seen one more beautiful than you

28. No women have given birth to one more perfect
Upon you, my Lord's blessings as long as

29. Eras continue or dawn follows dusk
