1. Descendants of Taha, and who can claim to be descendants of Taha
Seeking refuge through your eminence, none is turned away

2. My creed is love for you, and certainty is my bond
I have no creed but it, and no bond but you

3. From you I gain resolve, rather, all people
Derive from your excellence, and draw from it

4. Your house is the landing place of revelation and scripture
From you shines the light of prophethood

5. And yours is a lofty station - none of the descendants of Yasin can match it
O son of the Prophet's daughter, who can equal you in pride?

6. You are the pendant of glory, though glory needs no pendant
O our pride, can any mother equal yours?

7. Or any noble ancestor rival yours?
They craved to catch up with you, but

8. You are far above them in eminence, and your house is distant
God graced you with felicity in this life of yours

9. And martyrdom after you, O Chaste one
In your grave you have a standing, O Hussein

10. While none but you has glory, and all else, banishment
O noble in both abodes, defender against the obstinate slave

11. You are a sword against your foes, yet
You have forbearance, and your merit has no limit

12. Whoever tries to limit your merit blunders
The Prophet's family's merit cannot be contained

13. Tayba surpassed all lands
When your grandfather's tomb became in it

14. And Egypt prides over all Egypts
Rising with your tomb, its good fortune

15. Your tomb is one of glory
Many a noble steed strove toward it

16. And a shrine containing your sublimity, a shrine
Radiant with agates and misk

17. An endless flow of mercy poured upon pilgrims
Abundant gifts and sustenance

18. God's pleasure upon you, House of Taha
And the supplication of one such as I, a meager effort

19. And peace be upon you, always
As long as Tihama and Najd sing your praises

20. I stand for one whose soil you are in
O Hussein, none can come close

21. I stand for your pure and pious ancestor
When times bring adversity

22. I stand for one who turns the mighty
Helpless toward him, they have no alternative

23. I stand for one who took in a doe
And protected her while the adversary persecuted

24. I stand for your grandfather the Chosen One, who
Every year has pilgrims flocking to him

25. I stand for one the messengers assist
When he travels, and the angels are his troops

26. My God bless and grant him peace
As long as stars shine bright and thunder sounds
