1. O sons of Zahra, your glory is eternal
And your might lofty, your nobility sublime

2. Your sublimity none can transcend
Your pride time's vicissitudes cannot alter

3. You are the Kaaba of kindness people hasten to
Our hopes in you repose, around you they revolve

4. In every age, a Hashimite like the station of prayer
Stands vigil at the altar of glory

5. And this is an age in which has emerged
A noble one from your lineage, chaste

6. Unique in his virtues, though unique
Myriads cannot equal him

7. Abu Umar, I have come to you seeking refuge
For one who comes to you has no cause for fear

8. My affair is difficult and complex
But for you easy and effortless

9. You owe me no obligatory right
Except that I am your guest at your abode

10. But in the concord in your name lies a subtle mystery
Both names being Abdullah, but

11. You have the additional boon of being the noble master
I found you better than horsemen in the saddle

12. Merciful in disposition, kind
So be like your righteous ancestors, show clemency

13. For the best of men are the gentle and clement
It is the trait of the generous, and you are one of them

14. When they promise good, they fulfill
You have accustomed me to kindness for ages

15. And I have no recourse but your door
Your lofty ambition has emboldened me

16. So do not cut off the hopes of one who seeks your hospitality
My ultimate purpose is that I love you

17. Ardently, but I am weak
Succor me - may God never see you treat me unjustly

18. Or allow misfortunes to befall your domain
Take my hand - for I am sorely troubled

19. And my life is poisoned by frightening turmoil
