2. It passed by like a breeze, so if one pure of heart
Had glanced towards it, he would have died of passion

And the redness of that cheek described the red rose

6. And that slender shape told us about a gazelleโs neck
And that chaste bosom told of an egg in a breast

Who hunts the hearts of lions and tender rose

8. When she saw me in the city with my mouth agape
Towards her, as tears flowed down my cheek

12. May God protect the days that have passed and the moment

13. Without their protection, every mighty warrior
Roams, attacking bands of heroes

14. I say to whoever owns those domes, taking refuge
Like one remembering Salma, while the conscience is in India

15. So it was said: They are people who are the finest in existence
And the pinnacle of nobility in honor and glory

16. Kings of the Turks whose lands
Were guarded by the Syrian bow and the Indian sword

17. Among these proud people of lofty origin, if they conquer
They destroy, and if they give, they give bountifully

18. So I said: My soul, you have risked with foolishness
And sold, for the Turks, a heart without worth

19. Do you hope for riches, O Suhail, when you always
Intend to gain health and cure from the lion's mouth?

20. She said, hush! Why do I see you, O brother of nobility
Accusing while you have not demonstrated, O cold flint?

21. You are Yemeni in origin and fresh in branches
And pure in mother, father, and ancestors

ุงูู ุงูุฃูุตูู ูููุงูุน ุงู
ููุฑูุน ููุฒุงูู ุงูุฃูู
ููุงูุฃูุจ ููุงูุฌุฏ
22. And you, when the generous call, are called
With a brilliant, unmatched knowledge

ุงุถู ุงูุญูุฏ ููุงูุนูู

23. You are trusted with calamities, a glistening white
And you are, among the lofty, a centerpiece

ูู ุงูุจููุงูู ุฃูุจูุฌ
ููุฅูููู ุจููู ุงูุณู
ุท ููุงุณุทุฉ ุงูุนูุฏ
24. Naught but poverty is a vice in you, but rather
A man is blamed for villainy even if he is highborn

ุง ููู ุบููุฑ ุงูููุฑ ุนูุจ ููุฅููู
ุง
ููุนุงุจ ุงูููุชู ููุคู
ุงู ููููู ูุงู ุฐุง ุฌุฏ
25. There is no doubt that money passes and goes
And boasting of money is the trait of the vulgar

ุงู ุนุงุฏ ููุฑุงุฆุญ
ููุงู ูุฎุงุฑ ุงูู
ุงู ู

ุฉ ุงูููุบุฏ
26. So rise and call upon, for the critical matter, a brother of nobility
And take pleasure in one noble in origin, of olden covenant

ุฑ ุงูุฎูุทูุฑ ุฃูุฎุง ุงูุนููู
ูููุฐ ุจูููุฑูู
ุงูุฃูุตู ู

27. A man who gave generously while his wealth was abundant
And diffused benevolence and virtue, near and far
ูขูง. ููุชู ุฌุงุฏ ุจูุงูุฃูู
ูุงู ููููู ุบูุฒูุฑุฉ
ููุจูุซ ุงูููุฏู ููุงูุนุฑู ูู ุงูููุฑุจ ููุงูุจูุนุฏ
28. A generous man - whenever I praise him I praise him while people
Are with me, and whenever I blame him, I blame him alone

ู ุบููุฑ ุดูุฑุท ูููุง ููุนุฏ
30. Bringing good tidings of our lord, bringing good tidings, and they
Are tidings that delight the soul more than candy

ูููุงูุง ุจูุดูุฑุงู ููุงููููุง
ุจูุดุงุฆุฑ ูููุฃูุฑูุงุญ ุฃูุญูู ู

31. So welcome O lion who has come armed
And welcome O sword, ask about the sheath

32. And welcome O unveiled full moon
And welcome O rain, generosity, and plenty

ุฑุญุจุงู ุจุงูุบููุซู ูุงูุฌูุฏู ูุงูุฑูุฏ
33. And welcome O generosity, benevolence and loftiness with which
He has rightly prided himself over all possessing glory

ูุฑุญุจุงู ุจูุงูุฌูุฏ ููุงูุณุคุฏุฏ ุงูููุฐู
ุฃููุงู ุจููู ุญููุงู ุนููู ููู ุฐู ู

34. Take it, for it has come to you uniquely exquisite
It rang the platform of joy at the rise of fortune

ูุจุฑ ุงูุฃููุฑุงุญ ูู ุทุงูุน ุงูุณุนุฏ
35. You complain of the trials of youth
But complaint may benefit every friendly soul
ูฃูฅ. ุฃููุชู ุจูุฃูุญุงุฏูุซ ุงูุตุจุงุจุฉ ุชูุดุชููู
ููููุฏ ุชูููุน ุงูุดูููู ุฅููู ููู ุฐู ูุฏ
36. O inheritor of my affliction, O son of Yusuf
For I have wasted away from the intensity of youth and passion
ูฃูฆ. ุฃููุง ูุงุฑุซ ูู ูู ู
ุญููุชู ูุง ุงุจู ููุณู
