1. I see the tears of the universe overflowing
And the eyelids of this life shedding more of them

2. Oh, weep, o existence's eyelid, for a pearl
That settled in the soil until it was covered with dust

3. It shone on the face of the plain and bent
Into its interior when the decree of its ruin came

4. Of the eminent people and the virtuous ancestors
Through whom the life was pleasant and its drink exquisite

5. Their virtues like the stars and their superiority
Through it the land witnessed its old age and youth

6. And she has returned, pleasing, to her God
So allow for her the abode of His good pleasure
