1. The heart is passionately in love, exceeding all bounds
And has turned away from people and their concerns

2. Becoming immersed in its desires like a devoted lover
Wandering in love after feeling tranquility

3. It is honor enough that he attained
The rank of master, assuming the highest position

4. He has in the precincts of holiness a house
None can attain but him, none can enter but he

5. He is the lofty and sublime feast
Whose mystery is veiled in the curtains of the unseen

6. His revelation, though sent down anew
Is eternal, its rule unchanged, unabrogated

7. You see it, when you recite his guidance
To be true in word to what it relates of him

8. And he has such majesty and dignity
That he disdains the envier and enemy

9. God has indeed bestowed on him abundantly
Gifts that come flocking down to him

10. Prayers be upon him at every time
And peace, wholesome, enriching and satisfying.
