1. Your good tidings have arrived, and gratitude is obligatory,
Your joys are wholesome, so their mention is wholesome.

2. We became drunk with it when we smelled its fragrance,
And many a fragrance can cause intoxication.

3. O you in whom the times shine, for without peers,
They are darkness for it, with light they glare.

4. Exalted are their grandeur, small are their souls,
They have white faces and green attire.

5. Seas of generosity, lions in ferocity,
Their tongues are bright, their steeds are blond.

6. Their morning draught and night draught and downpour
And their full moon is a sun, their star is a full moon.

7. Nobles not from Khuza'ah, and not from donkeys,
But their maternal uncles are from Fihr.

8. Kings including Dhu Nafar and Tubba',
Each of them a collective, their total an ocean.

9. My companions quench swords with the dew,
When narrowed is for them the path of the brown.

10. And they receive the white with the white and the spear
With its like, while chests cram against chests.

11. They do not covet striking except with sharp swords,
Their striking is white and their tears are red.

12. They are the hot coals of the generous Arabs, others
Are ashes which the winds blow with no embers.

13. We congratulate them on the wedding of Muhammad
And his brothers, among them the pride of pride boasts.

14. A noble born in generosity who has attained
For every worth of men, he has worth.

15. He established the dissemination of knowledge
Without him, knowledge would have no circulation.

16. He plunged into virtues’ currents, so he excelled,
In each of his joints is a pearl.

17. In his being is subtlety, his nature is dew,
In his words prose, in his hand scripture.

18. He gives generously when the greedy hoards his money,
He stretches his hand when the miser withdraws it.

19. He who spends his hours amassing wealth,
Fearing poverty, has ensured that poverty comes to him.

20. It is no wonder his hands are generous, for he
Is steadfast, and his father is the sea.

21. A young man whose heart conceals no worries of his heart,
And if it did conceal them, no chest could conceal it.

22. Congratulations on this wedding you have attained its good
As musk and ambergris come together.

23. The signs of joy do not cease to repeat in your abode
Until for them boundaries cannot be determined.

24. Your times are spent in every elation,
For you in every direction there was fragrance.

25. The branches of the garden inclined as if
Grief or intoxication had laid them bare.

26. The pens of sweet basil met it at dawn,
On the pages of water, tracing its shade.

27. And the oriole since your wedding eve,
With the first days of Spring, spreads its melodies.

28. The free songbird has a resonating voice,
And its chirping has softened castles and homes.

29. And when the falcon came to us dating it,
It had an echo, and the sun kept pace with the full moon.
